Altars, whether demonic/evil or righteous, denote sacrifice and sacrifice is the native language and/or dialect of spirit beings!

Altars form the bedrock and foundation of all priesthood engagements. It is impossible to talk about priesthood without talking about altars.

Jesus Christ, our perfect Master, Lord and saviour is our High Priest (Hebrews 4:14-15) and His priesthood is after the order of Melchizedek which is powered by an indestructible life (Hebrews 7:16-17).

The Old Testament was powered by the Aaronic priesthood in which physical altars had to be built and physical sacrifices had to be offered. But the New Testament is powered by the priesthood of our Lord Jesus Christ in which the altar is not built by human hands and He Himself was the sacrifice for the purchase of eternal redemption for humankind (Hebrews 9:11-12). By giving up His life, He was setting a pattern and template for all those who shall follow after Him, even the New Testament believers.

There is a science of altars that is sturdily founded in both the Old and New Testaments which every believer must understand. The word, science, comes from the Latin word, scientia, which simply means knowledge. The reason every believer has to understand the science of altars is because knowledge (in this case, spiritual knowledge) is key to effective priesthood. And priesthood happens to be an integral part of the Christian life and ministry.
